2020 In Review

I’ll save you the 2020 monologue.. and just say that I am thankful for the clients, projects, and community that filled this year. Every single gracious and patient client that dealt with (“put up with”) me; thank you. Thank you for allowing me to enter your home, office, or business and take part in building your space.

I want to share some projects:

WolfPack

Once again I had the opportunity to work with WolfPack, this time for their new location in Findlay Market in Cincinnati. Part of the commission were these multi-use carts designed by the owner herself.

James Family

The James family hired me to transform their shed into a chicken coop and also build an enclosed garden. Their home is located in a beautiful setting and made for a very peaceful job site. In the end, the chickens seemed pleased.

Brightwork

The project that really honed my interest in cabinetry. Brightwork asked for cabinets that offered storage as well as desk space when needed. Within the cabinet are the filing cabinets and a document shredder box.

Wilson Family

This gracious family thrusted many fun projects into my queue, one of them being theirs children’s book nook. Their upstairs had a spacious landing that offered a perfect location to become a cozy reading nook for the kids.

Measure Twice, Cut Once

Thank you to everyone who helped support the family business by purchasing a t-shirt or flag. Seriously, it feels so good to have the support of many friends from all over.

Warehouse 4

The new W4 location in Kettering, OH is a unique spot. Natural light, focused design, and of course an incredible menu. OHUSA contributed a few pieces for the shop such as seating, tables, and architectural elements. The Cedar Canopy, being one element, is what welcomes customers in and frames in their barista bar. Another project was the Partition Bench, constructed of Baltic birch plywood.

Ghostlight

In an era of COVID, every restaurant was forced to re-think their space. Ghostlight commissioned OHUSA to build simple partitions, some mobile and some stationary, that would allow them to maximize their seating. Last year, I had the opportunity to work with Ghostlight on their new Midtown Location in Dayton.

My Family

My favorite part of life. In September, Eden and I welcomed our sweet Abel into our lives. I am forever changed.

Again, thank you friends. May 2020 be a year that we all, at the very least, grow in wisdom.
